Recently in Hong Kong, there were massive protests against the government’s proposal to amend the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance, also known as the extradition law. This law would allow case-by-case extradition proceedings between Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the People’s Republic of China without review from the Legislative Council.
