Athletic program brings inner-city kids to UBC Through the program “I’m Going To UBC,” currently in its seventh year, elementary students from East Vancouver got to drop by UBC’s basketball courts for a taste of university life. “It opens their eyes up to what is possible, where they could be in less than 10 years,” said Andrea Wilks, a participating teacher from Admiral Seymour Elementary.
