Social procurement involves SFU purchasing ethical goods and contracting services to influence the well-being of the community. “The purpose of social procurement is to expand purchasing practices to create positive impacts on the economy and for people in our communities,” said Mary Aylesworth, director of financial operations, in an interview with The Peak.
