Build BC Smarter rally seeks education funding
November 2, 2026On Thursday, October 15, a rally for post-secondary education funding was held in downtown Vancouver. The rally was on the front steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The demonstration was organized by representatives of the Vancouver Community College Faculty Association. It took place just nine days before the BC election on Saturday, October 24. A press release from the association stated that BC has cancelled 213 education programs and laid off 1387 instructors in the past two years alone.
