This year’s Indian Summer Festival will feature talks on issues about collective silence and personal trauma, as well as taxi drivers and their experiences. Located in SFU’s Goldcorp Centre on July 10, tickets are $15 for one talk, or $20 for both. The first talk will begin at 6 p.m., and the second at 8 p.m.

Does local produce pique your interest? Looking to buy some fresh fruit and veggies? The Surrey Urban Farmers Market is being held on July 8 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Surrey City Hall Plaza. Local musicians will be attending to entertain, and there will be demonstrations of various recipes.
