Itse Hesse creates Black Girl Collective with a focus on mentorship and connections

By: Yelin Gemma Lee, News Writer Since immigrating to Canada, SFU alumni Itse Hesse has struggled with the lack of safe spaces for Black women to connect with and support each other. Recalling these unmet needs, Hesse officially founded the Black Girl Collective (BGC) in July 2020.
